Join an organisation on Ausmed
How to join an organisation on Ausmed
You’ll most often be invited by email to join your organisation on Ausmed.
Depending on how your organisation has set things up, you may also be able to join through Single Sign-On (SSO) or a prompt that appears when you’re logged in.
This article explains how to accept an invitation and outlines these other common ways to join your organisation on Ausmed.
✅ 1. Accept an Email or SMS Invitation
Most people will join their organisation on Ausmed through an invitation sent by email or SMS.
📩 Step 1: Check Your Email or SMS
-
Look for a message from Ausmed with the subject line:
“You’ve been invited to join [Organisation Name] on Ausmed.” -
Check your inbox and junk/spam folders.
-
If sent by SMS, it will go to the mobile number your organisation has on file.
-
If you haven’t received an invite, your organisation may be using Single Sign-On (SSO) instead.
🔗 Step 2: Click “Accept Invitation”
- This will open the Ausmed website.
🔐 Step 3: Log In or Create an Account
-
If you already have an Ausmed account, log in and confirm the connection with your organisation.
-
If you’re new to Ausmed, create an account and it will be linked automatically.
🔄 2. Join via Single Sign-On (SSO)
If your organisation uses Single Sign-On, you can join simply by logging in with your work credentials.
This might happen when you:
-
Enter your work email when logging in to ausmed.com.au, or
-
Access Ausmed through a staff portal, intranet, or other internal system.
Once authenticated, your Ausmed account will be linked to your organisation.
👉 Look out for instructions from your organisation explaining where and how to log in using SSO.
💬 3. Accept a Pop-Up Prompt While Logged In
If you're already logged into an existing Ausmed account, and your email matches an invitation from your organisation, you may see a pop-up prompt asking you to connect to your organisation.
-
Simply click Accept when the prompt appears
-
The connection will be created instantly — no other setup required.
If you don’t see a prompt, your email may not match your organisation’s records or the invitation may not have been issued yet.
