Understanding Your Certificate of Accomplishment

This guide explains what a Certificate of Accomplishment is, how to access it, its validity period, and how it differs from a Certificate of Completion. If you have any questions about obtaining or maintaining your certification, this article will provide the answers.

1. What is a Certificate of Accomplishment?

  • A Certificate of Accomplishment is a formal recognition of your achievement after successfully completing a Skill Track, including passing the required capstone assessment. It certifies that you have gained the knowledge and skills aligned with best practices in your field.

2. How do I access my Certificate of Accomplishment?

  • Upon successfully completing the capstone assessment, your Certificate of Accomplishment will be automatically generated and made available in two ways:
    1. In Synap: Click the "View certificate" button on the results notification page immediately after finishing the assessment.
    2. By Email: You will receive an email from Ausmed via Synap no-reply@synap.ac containing your certificate. If you don’t see it, check your spam or junk folders.
  • If you still can't access your certificate, please contact Ausmed’s support team at support@ausmed.com.au  for assistance.

3. Can I get a Certificate of Accomplishment without completing the capstone assessment?

  • No, a Certificate of Accomplishment is only issued upon completing both the Skill Track content and passing the capstone assessment.

4. How long is my Certificate of Accomplishment valid for? Do I need to recertify?

  • Your Certificate of Accomplishment is valid for two years from the date of issue, with the expiry date clearly noted on the document.
  • To maintain your certification beyond this period, you’ll need to complete the Skill Track again and retake the capstone assessment. This ensures your knowledge and skills remain current and aligned with best practices in the field.

5. What’s the difference between a Certificate of Accomplishment and a Certificate of Completion?

  • A Certificate of Accomplishment is awarded after you successfully complete a Skill Track, including all its learning content and the capstone assessment. It serves as validation of your knowledge and skills according to the outcomes of the Skill Track. To ensure this certification remains current and credible, it must be renewed every two years.
  • A Certificate of Completion is awarded upon completing each of the learning resources within the Skill Track. This certificate recognises participation and completion of the content, but does not formally validate or acknowledge the acquisition of new knowledge or skills in the same way as the capstone assessment does.
